Welcome to Folkmusikhuset,
THE place for folk music and dancing in Stockholm

A fantastic dance floor for your feet and great folk music for your ears. This is the place to come if you want to dance gammaldans or polska. Don't worry if you can't dance yet, we'll teach you, and it's all free!

You can even bring along your instrument and learn some new tunes. Or just come along to listen and buy a cup of coffee and some cake in our café. The whole building is a non-smoking area.

The free entry on Sunday evenings is possible only because of all the volunteers who help to run the dancing, the playing and the café. More help is always needed, in particular to help in the café groups. For the Friday dances we hire some of the best folk music groups around and so we have to charge an entrance fee.

All this takes place at Skeppsholmens Folkhögskola (known coloquially as "Sheppis"), Slupskjulsvägen 12, 111 49 STOCKHOLM
