Bollnäsbygdens spelmanslag

Come and meet this colourful and unconventional group who are one of Sweden's most active and popular.

Bollnäsbygdens Spelmanslag was formed in 1949 which makes it the oldest one in the county of Hälsingland. It may even be Sweden's largest! Bollnäsbygdens spelmanslag is well known throughout the whole country and their two CDs have sold well in all parts of Scandinavia. For their diamond anniversary in 2009 a documentary film was made by a team who followed them during the course of a whole year, culminating with their victory in the Nordic Folkmusic Championships in Sälen.

18.30 Short course: Polska from Alfta with Henry Johansson and Ann Wiippola. Rick Conradsson on fiddle.
20.00 Concert
21.00 Polska and gammaldans until midnight.
Guest artists (towards the end of the evening): The group Emalj (Emma Eriksson, Magnus Olsson and Klas af Edholm).
